Abstract

The editorial advances the discussion on the need for the academic environment to promote practical solutions to the real problems that the world faces, for that purpose, the theory of paradox and the approach of co-creation were used as a mediating process to balance scientific rigor and practical relevance. As an example of the effort to respond to the dilemma, we describe the role of management labs in stimulating the co-creation process.
