Abstract

The volatile and uncertain future demands environments for research and expansion of methodological perspectives, where acts of imagination and fictional expectations are promising resources. Thus, scholars should expand methodological tools using future-oriented environments, i.e., “laboratories of the future” that operate as spaces for creating thought experiments or utopian thinking. In this editorial we present a possible alternative, projecting the contribution of the management lab to the co-creation of desirable futures.
