Abstract

The editorial celebrates the inclusion of the Journal of the Organizational Management Simulation Laboratory (LAGOS) in the classification of journals in the QUALIS system. The journal's focus has always been to engage with management practitioners, including business faculty, but finding references in journals that integrate science, technology, and management with practitioner-oriented communication has been challenging within a vast landscape of scientifically established journals. This integration is not only essential but necessary. Theory and practice should go hand in hand to effectively develop and prepare individuals for navigating the daily challenges of innovation and growth in organizations. Therefore, we emphasize the opportunity presented by the journal to disseminate rigorously methodological applied studies and research, which are necessary while striving for practical relevance, which is essential.

Author Biographies

Murilo Alvarenga Oliveira, Universidade Federal Fluminense, UFF - PPGA

Doutor em Administração pela FEA-USP. É professor associado do Departamento de Administração da Universidade Federal Fluminense (Campus Volta Redonda). Realiza estágio de pós-doutorado da FEA-USP (2021),  professor visitante na Gustavson School of Business - University of Victoria, BC, Canada. É professor do Programa de Pós-Graduação Stricto Sensu no Mestrado Profissional em Administração da UFF (MPA-VR). É líder do Grupo de Pesquisa - Laboratório de Gestão Organizacional Simulada (LAGOS).

Sheila Serafim Silva , Fundação Instituto de Administração, FIA SP

Professora assistente no MBA Executivo Internacional da FIA, Assistente docente nos cursos de Liderança e Gestão Estratégica de Pessoas, Business Partner, Teletrabalho e Gestão de Talentos em Tecnologia do PROGEP-FIA. Dedica-se ao estudo da educação executiva e corporativa com ênfase no desenvolvimento de soft skills. Desde 2008, tem vivenciado a aplicação de metodologias ativas (jogos de empresas) na formação gerencial e, desde 2013, tem pesquisado a educação híbrida e online. Mestre e graduada em administração pelo Instituto de Ciências Humanas e Sociais da Universidade Federal Fluminense/UFF, doutora duplo diploma em administração com menção "Cum Laude" pela FEA-USP e pela Universidade de Salamanca/Espanha (em parceria com León, Burgos e Valladolid) e especialista em educação e tecnologias pela UFSCar.

Revista LAGOS, in accordance with Law No. 9,610, of February 19, 1998, which alters, updates and consolidates the legislation on copyright and takes other measures, adopts the following conditions of the Assignment of Copyright:

The Journal of the Simulated Organizational Management Laboratory (LAGOS) maintains, with the assignment of copyrights, the possession of the rights over the contents published by it;
The author retains his moral rights to the content, including the right to be identified as the author whenever the content is published;
Despite the attribution of copyright, the author retains the right to reuse the material in future collections of his own work free of charge. The acknowledgments of the previous publication in Revista LAGOS are the only requirements in such cases;
