Mountain coffee farming faces challenges such as irregular topography and unpredictable weather conditions, impacting production, especially in Brazil. This study explores how hackathons, collaborative innovation events, can generate innovative solutions and promote sustainable development in mountain coffee farming. The research adopts a qualitative and exploratory approach, using interviews, observations and literature review. As a solution, it proposes a hackathon called HackCafé, which aims to bring together students and enthusiasts to create disruptive ideas and train small and medium-sized farmers, aiming for a more inclusive and sustainable agricultural sector. HackCafé is structured in several stages: identifying challenges, exploring solutions, partnering with educational institutions, organizing workshops and brainstorming sessions. It is believed that HackCafé can help identify innovative proposals for mountain coffee farming, contributing to sustainability, competitiveness of the agricultural sector and regional development.
