Analysis of Profitability Indicators and their Influence on the Growth of a Simulated Firm

In the business scenario, it was assumed that companies should satisfy stakeholders financially, which can occur through the creation of market value, as well as the return on invested capital. Therefore, the objective of this research is to discover the impact of the Management of Profitability Indicators on the company's growth. For this, the evolution of the profitability indicators monitored throughout the game of companies was presented, the business problems that the simulated industry had to deal with and the strategy used were described, based on the values ??of the indexes obtained, aiming at improving the company and the decision-making process. The research is exploratory, explaining ideas through the case study of a simulated industry, inserted in the environment of business games, in the discipline of Simulated Management Laboratory. The company adopted as a main strategy to increase the Return on Equity (ROE) value and for that, an export project was implemented in the last two quarters of the third year. However, even though sales increased with sales on the foreign market, the management of the indicators was not efficient and there was no improvement in the company's results, nor was its growth ensured, although essential data were provided for the taking decision of the directors.
